§ 02 — Become The airport education
The airport education is about getting an airport to function — from aircraft that need to be expedited to baggage that needs to go to the right place. As a skilled worker in the airport, you work closely with aircraft and help get passengers and goods safely on their way on time. You become part of a large team where every minute counts.
§What do you do in everyday life?
Your day is on the apron and in the terminal area. You can load and unload baggage and cargo direct planes at the gate operate special vehicles and help prepare the plane for departure. You always work according to strict safety rules and schedules because a plane must be ready exactly when it should be.

§How do you get started?
You start with a basic course and find an apprenticeship at an airport or with a ground-handling company. The main course alternates between school and practical training, and you receive an apprentice wage while you learn the trade. At the workplace you learn from colleagues who know the airport's pace and routines.
§The way forward
As fully trained you can work in airports and with handling companies on tasks around aircraft baggage and cargo. With experience you can become a team leader or coordinator and specialise in particular areas of airport operations.
