Contribution margin and margin ratio

What is the contribution margin, gross margin and markup on the item?

Answer: Trækker de variable omkostninger (typisk indkøbs-/kostprisen) fra salgsprisen for at finde dækningsbidraget pr. enhed. Dækningsgraden viser DB i procent af salgsprisen, og avancen viser fortjenesten i procent af kostprisen.

Formula

DB = salgspris - variable omkostninger

Dækningsgrad = DB / salgspris x 100. Avance = DB / kostpris x 100.

Eks.: 200 - 120 = 80 kr. DB. DG = 80/200 = 40 %. Avance = 80/120 = 66,7 %.
