How many wall ties for the wall?
Minimum number of corrosion-resistant wire ties/m² per wall type (4 cavity · 2 veneer · 16 double wall/solid) according to EN 1996-1-1 DK NA / Mur & Tag. For solid walls, the requirement is 16 × Ø4 mm wire ties/m², and the masonry must have effective connection through all bed joints. The calculator multiplies by area and adds extra ties along edges/openings (max 400 mm). Minimum is not automatically enough — the number must always be verified for wind load.
